Goods and Services Tax (GST)

The Government of India has introduced the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill and is being rolled out from July 1, 2017. Being an accredited Banker (as Agency Bank) to handle GST collection from the tax payers, Canara Bank has integrated with Goods and Service Tax Network (GSTN) as per the process mentioned in the Bank Authorization Reference Model (BARM).

Canara Bank is authorized for collection of Goods and Services Tax on behalf of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC).

  1. Multiple Payment Modes: -
    • Over the Counter: - Cash, Transfer, Cheque, DD
    • UPI
    • Internet Banking
    • Payment Gateway (Credit Card / Debit Card)
    • NEFT / RTGS
  2. All branches are enabled and authorized to provide Over-the-Counter (OTC) Tax payment services; customer shall approach the branch within 15 Days from the date generation of Challan from the GST portal, selecting CANARA BANK as payment bank.
  3. Customers can make GST Payment through Internet Banking, UPI Mode, Debit Card / Credit Card by selecting E Payment Option at GSTN Portal, after generation of Challan from the GSTN site.
